yep, you're right, thx. i also have "mouseware" which i can probably uninstall. the only thing i need to check is what of these, if any, was giving status as to battery power levels in the mouse, keyb, etc...
i also made numerous changes to services, uninstalls, etc, and got the thing to sleep reliably again for the first time in years. not sure what did it. thx again.
