yep, you're right, thx.

i also have "mouseware" which i can probably uninstall.  the only thing
i need to check is what of these, if any, was giving status as to
battery power levels in the mouse, keyb, etc...

i also made numerous changes to services, uninstalls, etc, and got the
thing to sleep reliably again for the first time in years.  not sure
what did it.

thx again.  (interesting that the stuff was called "iTouch")
