I am still running 7.5 trunk (most recent nightly) but I took the time to test the 7.5 embedded for the last 3 nightly and it is still not usable at all on Windows XP, SP 3.
Constellation: Database with 160.000 tracks running, 500 new tracks added. 7.5 trunk update scan: Scans about 15 min. without notice (obviously discovering new files) takes further 10 min. to add the new ones and about 20 min. to add album art and clean up the database, so it is about 45 min. 7.5 trunk complete rescan: takes about 4 hours 7.5 mysql embedded update scan: scans about 90 - 120 min. saying "discovering files" - progress says it's scanning 170.000 files (though there are "only" 160.000) then it starts to add - and the PC hangs so I even can chose the task manager and have to turn power off (tried with different versions) 7.5 mysql embedded complete rescan: took about 8 hours - till I stopped for it was only about halfway through. 7.5 sqlite embedded complete rescan: got very slow, was scanning about 120 - 150 files per minute. ( watched for 3 hours then I stopped presuming it to take > 10 - 12 hours... I didn' have the time. So all embedded scans took at least 3times the time of the trunk scan. But embedded is to be said quicker while even using less ressources (but it crashed my windows...)
