I'm not seeing this at all. Running 7.5 embedded with SQLite on Windows. I get:
The Beat Daddys The Beatles The Black Crowes The Black Eyed Peas Black Oak Arkansas Black Sabbath Black Uhuru Blackfoot St Germain The Stanley Brothers Van Halen Townes Van Zandt Vangelis I just took a look at the SQLite database's contributors table and the namesort column looks just like that in 7.4 or 7.5 with MySQL. Letters are capitalized, punctuation characters are replaced by spaces, and multiple spaces are contracted to a single space.
