Sounds bad. And you're sure this was related to SBS? I would be surprised if it 
would kill a drive at that level.

I'm running embedded on a SME Linux (CentOS 4 based), using my own perl 5.10 
(SME is still using 5.8.6) on a C3/1GHz. But I'm running from trunk, not RPM. 
Only problem I've seen is automatic scanning: as SME's kernel is lacking 
support for inotify it would be using stat based scanning. And that's just 
killing my poor little box. It's working correctly, but the regular scans would 
interrupt playback etc. Thus I decided to trigger manual rescans when needed (I 
don't add music every day).
