Hi, yesterday I tried out 7.5 trunk (30462) and 7.6 (30458) on the exact same database.
Same result since the start of 7.5 embedded (!) - 7.5 truns works, 7.6 doesn't (posted this one earlier but got the response, Windows build are "experimental" - are they still). Description: 7.5: running "detecting files" (about 10 min.) running "scanning files" (about 5 min. - 200 files to a 175.000 file db) running "cover artwork" (about 3 min.) running "cleaning up database" 7.6: running "detecting files" => takes about 120. min and detects 181.000 files (!) out of my 175.000 (!) file db after this, windows hangs completely - looks as if MySQL needs all ressources - waited for abouzt an hour than i restarted pc There are only 2 lines in my server.log [10-04-02 11:20:19.5250] Slim::Utils::Scanner::Local::rescan (138) Discovering files in M: [10-04-02 11:41:16.8080] Slim::Utils::OS::Win32::pathFromShortcut (554) Bad path in M:\E\Elvis Presley\Verknüpfung mit Elvis Presley.lnk - path was: [M:\E\Elvis Presley] (but after this last one it ran for another 90 minutes showing progress.) So 7.6 is unfortunately completey unusable on Win XP ...!?
