Agreed, 7.6/sqlite is (usually) much nicer.  (and I don't fault it for
not re-merging my mistagged split album, the determine-album code is
hairy enough, it's best to just agree that it's one of those "do a full
rescan" things..)

But I also think the "sorry, no listening to music while doing a
rescan" is bad.  If that's the real case, then players should simply be
locked out until the scan is complete... which is not going to thrill
anyone at all.

Maybe it's just the locks on the persistant table that need to be
looked at, making for a more graceful failure than simply bombing out
on the rescan.
