Eh how to get this straight, I'll try. See here for some findings: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=76954&page=2
I made some more tries: You get audio drop outs if you a. switch rapidly between playlists it start the list after a delay, but drops the audio a couple of times ? b. use the shuffle button. c. Even worse press the shuffle button rapidly a couple of times, now your server is 100% cpu limbo for 5 minutes Note that reshuffling a playlist of say 170 songs was quite ok in 7.5 so this is a change to the worse. 2-3 minutes of 100% cpu I provoked this behavior with an 159 and one 167 song playlist and one 405 song list. Generally moderately sized playlists of 100 to 400 songs is what I use. Not this whole collection spanning 20000 song lists some users have (then I get why your server is reduced to slag). Server log is empty, so I reckon everything "works" but on a glacial time scale. How should I write up intelligible bug for this ? I have to emphasize that this was not so in earlier versions so something has changed ! -- Mnyb -------------------------------------------------------------------- Main hifi: Touch + CIA PS +MeridianG68J and assorted amps SiriuS, Classe'Primare and Dynadio speakers (including a pair of Contour 4 ) Bedroom/Office: Boom Kitchen: SB3 + powered Fostex PM0.4 Miscellaneous use: Radio (with battery) I use a Controller various ir-remotes and a Eee-PC with squeezeplay to control this ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mnyb's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4143 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=77488 _______________________________________________ beta mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/beta
