7.6 still has the problem that added or changed cover art (as
"Folder.jpg" eg) for existing files is NOT scanned and recognized (I
think andy g promised to fix when rewrting the scanner... ;))
I learned it should be scanned if the FILE (mp3) is scanned as
"changed" - but mostly it isn't. I tried changing mp3 by adding the
"band tag" - no cover art has been scanned. But if I changed "comment
tag", it obviously did scan.
So I'm looking for a fix (it's pretty boring to re-scan all of my
180.000 mp3 lasting 6 hours for adding some 2 or 3 covers)...
When is a mp3-file regarded as "changed" so that scanner scans for
cover art also?

I have two ways in mind to fix its - maybe it sounds naiv but:
1. If "coverid" in the "tracks"-table is empty ("0") web
ui/controller/... looks for "Folder.jpg" (or the name given in
properties) first - only if it finds no cover art in folder, the
default "blank" is shown.
Maybe it could also add this "Folder.jpg" to database while showing...
2. Scanner looks for all changed files AND for all files, with no value
("0") in "coverid" in the "tracks"-table. For people who don't use cover
art (if there are some...) there maybe could be an option to let them
un-scanned.
Any of this is possible? It's pretty boring to see all covers "blank"
after adding them... :(
