Development had been rather intense when a product launch depended on
it, and it's understandable if there needs to be a break now, if only
for humanitarian reasons. However, I really would like to see 7.6 to
get to release quality and become a released product.

Related to that question is whether the SQLite architecture is really
up to the task of scanning huge libraries. I get the feeling that,
under SQLite, the operation of adding a new track gets slower as the
library gets bigger. I don't have hard data to back that up, but I got
that impression from watching scans take place. My mere 8000 track
library doesn't tax it too much but some people's 300,000 track
collections may not fare so well, according to a couple of forum posts
I've seen. I fully admit, I may have got this wrong.

Overall, I am wondering whether the impetus to move to SQLite for new
releases of SBS is as strong as it once was?
