I think they do some extra quality test on Radio firmware and release more seldom.
It has no SD-card slot so end users can not easily salvage it if for example the network connectivity gets broken . It probably has a connector somewhere if you open the case, but that probably use connectors and equipment and software that is not available to everyone.
