the clock thing is my fault (and should be already fixed in the next nightly), but that should not be related to the other behavior you are seeing. you can load the previous good build by pointing the IR remote at the touch and holding the volume up key during boot. that should get you back using your touch. I'm interested in the root cause of your system hanging though. If you're up to it and are savvy with ssh, enable remote login and reload r8965.
