What I meant was that 7.6+SQLite on my PC scans 30%+ faster than 7.5.x
with MYSQL.
It's also highly stable, both scanning and browsing/playing on my PC
(XP Sp3 - Athlon 64 3200 + 2Gb ram).
And browsing is fast too. (33k tracks)

I've also got it installed on an HP Netbook running Ubuntu 10 and on a
Windows 7 PC and my comments stand for those platforms too.

I personally won't be going back to MYSQL.

I'm baffled why you have a problem unless you are not using the Windows
executable nightlies?
