Latest test trying to run 7.6 with MySQL on Windows: (I set this up from an existing server by manually editing the prefs file, not from a new installation and not by changing the database type in the web settings. I'm running it with my own instance of MySQL 5.0.)
During the initial scan (or a clear/rescan) which runs the external scanner, discovering and scanning new files runs fine, but precaching artwork always hangs up within the first 5 or 10 and never progresses further. Aborting the clear/rescan at this time doesn't work properly. The external scanner remains running, and within the progress table the precaching phase remains tagged as active. So it's necessary to both kill the external scanner and then modify the progress table by either marking the precaching phase inactive or else clearing the table. Afterward, a new & changed scan can be run successfully. The first time it's run it will precache artwork since the external scanner did not. Apart from the external scanner problems, it runs well. -- JJZolx ------------------------------------------------------------------------ JJZolx's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=84614 _______________________________________________ beta mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/beta
