I've had trouble loading the last two firmware updates on the Touch. Most recently, the update to 7.6.0 r9296 kept failing as soon as the 'Download' process on the player began (the updated firmware was sitting on the local server). Then the failure screen would automatically advance to another screen before any user interaction occurred.
Rebooted the Touch and the update notification came up immediately, then proceeded without a problem. I have a feeling the failures may have actually been trying to retrieve the update from mysb.com, even though it should have been connected to the local server.
