Well I had autorescan: 0 in my prefs files from my many attempts before
to run 7.6.  So this attempt started with that disabled from the get
go.

I may try your suggestion today, but I do not think it will change
much.  

I did not try it this attempt to run 7.6, but in previous attempts to
get 7.6 I started from a fresh install, i.e. deleting every trace of
SBS from my system and installing 7.6 and it still did not work. 
Outside of running SBS on WHS I am not sure what makes my install
complicated.  My entire collection is just FLAC in a single path of
course accessed via UNC since it is on a WHS.
