Folks

Something is seriously buggy in 7.6.x. Firstly, one cannot chance DB
from SQlite to MySQL, hitting apply reverts to SQLite.

More seriously, in an effortto clean up crud (duplicate albums) in the
db I attempted a clear and rescan operation. Well, after 10 mins or so
SBS reported the rescan was completed, but the drives just kept
churning, to the point that everything on the machine became incredibly
slow/ unresponsive. Managed to open a terminal window and run
Code:
--------------------
    shutdown -r now
--------------------

On reboot all seemed ok until I tried to load SBS in the browser - it
returned host unreachable and the drives started churning again.

then resorted to
Code:
--------------------
    sudo apt-get purge squeezeboxserver
--------------------
which removed all but preferences (subsequently manually deleted).

I'm now going to do a fresh install and rescan to see what happens, but
to my reckoning something is getting into an infinite loop.

Any ideas?
