Hmm. What´s easiest? 
A) Maintaining a 2 years old kernel with less overall performance,
incompatibility with newer USB devices, bugs in filesys exteral USB
HDDs or SD cards, ...
B) Maintaining a newer kernel with better performance, improved
compatibility with newer USB devices, filesys with TRIM support which
is rather nice when Touch uses a flashdisk, improved security, etc...

I know which option I would have selected...

Please, think it over once more you clever dev guys!
