This isn't new to onebrowser, but it may be time to fix it if we're
trying to gain some kind of consistency between user interfaces.
In the web UI there's a cookie-based pref for album sort order. It's
applied to the sort order of albums when browsing in all of the browse
modes - by album, by artist, by year, by genre ('All Albums'), etc.
In SqueezePlay there's a player pref for album sort order, at Settings
> Advanced > Albums Sort Method. But it's applied only when browsing
albums.
Result?
In the web UI if you set the sort order to 'Artist, Year, Album', then
albums are always sorted into date order for any given artist.
In SqueezePlay setting the same sort order results in albums being
sorted correctly only under browse albums, but in every other browse
mode they're sorted by album name.
In the ip3k UI there's no player pref for album sort order, and albums
are always sorted by name. It may be too late to add a setting to any
of the firmwares, but it should be easy enough to add to the web
interface's player settings.
