In my opinion, the case-sensitive thing is an annoying regression.

(This is just the point of view of a customer testing 7.6, don't know
if this is right place to tell it)

I often search a single term in my entire library, and like to find
several albums or songs referring to this term which can appear in
different fields with different cases.

Sometimes tags should be fixed to correct casing.
Sometimes different casing is normal and should not be changed.

Actually in both situations, I think the new behavior is wrong.
If other results with different casing do not appear in the results,
you simply don't know you should fix them.
If they do appear, you know you may have to correct something.

People are now used to free case insensitive search like Google
search.
Most people even expect that approaching terms appear in the results
are at least are suggested.
May be english speaking people are not so aware about those problems
since they do not use accents.

In my opinion, most customers will consider the case-sensitive thing as
a bug (unless we have an option to ask for case-insensitive search)

I was rather annoyed when I noticed this problem in 7.6
