I have done a little more investigation:

I have disabled all firewalls.

If I run foobar2000 with the UPnP server on either my WHS (which also
runs SBS) or the laptop, the other machine sees the server in
foobar2000. When I run the UPnP renderer in foobar2000 the WMP-12 on
the server, the laptop sees it and can control it, so everything seems
to be working fine with foobar2000. However, foobar2000 on either
machine does not see either the SBS UPnP server nor the Squeezebox as a
renderer.

I have downloaded the Developer Tools for UPnP technology and the
Device Spy application sees both the foobar2000 servers on both the
machines, as well as the WMP-12 server being run on the Win7 laptop.
There are no Squeezebox servers in Device Spy on either machine.

However, in Device Sniffer, in addition to the packets belonging to the
above servers, a bunch of packets belonging to SBS is detected on both
the laptop and the server. They are always NOTIFY packets and are all
on port 1900. They look like

Code:
