This is the second time I've come up against this so I'm now sure it's a bug that needs addressing. In a nutshell, the scanning process isn't behaving as it should when rescanning a large library. Scenario:
- Linux based NAS and PC - Music library spread across both with links from main music folder to other drives on PC and NAS music folder mounted using NFS as /media/AudioLIB - Initial scan runs perfectly, all albums picked up and accounted for - subsequently (accidentally) did an update scan without the NAS powered up. Behaviour not as expected - some albums on NAS still appear in album listing - power up and mount NAS, rescan looking for changes - scan completes? but some albums missing from resulting library, curiously they're located on one of the PC drives and other albums in same drive/ folder structure picked up. Check permissions, nada. - After this scan, SBS runs like a dog. - Clear and rescan returns a similar outcome to that described - albums still missing - Scanner indicates complete, but scanning continues in background. - only way to cure is to stop SBS, delete DB files and restart (or uninstall, purge, reinstall, reconfigure, rescan) Attachment shows scan status complete, but stuff still going on. +-------------------------------------------------------------------+ |Filename: Workspace 1_003.jpg | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=11723| +-------------------------------------------------------------------+ -- audiomuze *'Linux finally gets a great audio tagger' (http://www.ubuntugeek.com/linux-finally-gets-a-great-audio-tagger.html): 'puddletag' (http://puddletag.sourceforge.net/)* ------------------------------------------------------------------------ audiomuze's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=33613 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=87087 _______________________________________________ beta mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/beta
