I've never seen a 'database disk image is malformed' log entry, but I would expect SBS to rebuild the database when it thinks the database is corrupt and can't be used. It can't operate otherwise. Something is very wrong on your server. I would start by stopping Squeezebox Server and deleting everything in the cache folder. Then restart SBS and it will launch the external scanner to build the database from scratch. After it completes, test to make sure things work correctly.
