I didn't associated .pl files with perl (not perl 5.10 nor 5.12.3)
Remember I need current perl 5.12.3 for my own develoments

If it is necessary to associate perl with .pl files, I don't think it
is normal requirement.
More than that, the perl 5.12.3 incompatibility bug would be really
more than annoying in this case ...
