I'm able to connect the Revue to my "production" SBS 7.6.1 via Whitebear Media Server 2.1. I'm able to browse my FLAC library and play tracks, albums and playlists. The album art displays on the TV in the Now Playing screen with its progress bar and Album, Artist and track info. There are some issues, but it works for the most part.
So far, I have not been able to figure out how to go back to the Now Playing screen. While track(s) continues to play I'm able to browse the Library with the TV picture in the background and select other tracks, albums or playlist. I can go back to the Album that is currently playing and see which track in that album is playing (little speaker icon next to it)... but as I said, no matter what menu option I try I can't get back to the Now Playing screen. There is no Now Playing option in the menus that I can find. A couple other things. You have to navigate up/down the whole library (Album, Artist, Genre...etc) to get to the track, album or playlist you want to play... no other shortcuts that I can find. (No alphabetical bar to jump to an album, track... etc that starts with a specific letter). I know that the functions of UPnP/DLNA are limited, but one thing that I hope works with LMS and the Revue is the GoogleTV search function. This search function should find and list all the multimedia that resides in the LMS server based on the search string. The GoogleTV search does not work with Whitebear Media server either, but this I expected. Another thing I found with Whitebear is that the Album art sometimes disappears from tracks in the now Playing Screen... but you can see the album art if one goes back to the Playlist listing of the currently playing playlist. I just tested the Image Viewer option under Extras. Now I can see picture thumbnails, click on them and see a "full" size picture in the Web UI. I see my Video folder, but no thumbnails for the wmv & avi videos within. Are the videos supposed to be of a specific format? Well, now I have to learn how to tag pictures. All the pictures that I took with my phone are labeled SAMSUNG. If anyone in the LMS development team has contact with the Revue software developers ask them if it's possible to add a WOL option to the Revue if it is not there yet. -- tamanaco ------------------------------------------------------------------------ tamanaco's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4620 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=86628 _______________________________________________ beta mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/beta
