"Properties" tells me that there is 40k files but tracks and new files are only 375 files off , I may have some bad tags somewhere providing dupes. An interesting thing if you watch closely during a scan for new and changed you can see that file count almost hit 40k files but sudenly settle at 34k when it's finished, suggesting that it really sees all files, but displaying something else. And there is no music outside of the music directory on that machine so playlist could not check in tracks from outside that directory .
