Well, RC3 is far from being perfect, but it's way better than 7.6.0.
The search bug is annoying, but it's not a critical one. As is the one that under Linux a restart triggered from the server (eg: plugin installation) will stop it, but won't restart it. This one's a good old friend of mine since 7.4, I've been accustomed to with both my ReadyNAS and my QNAP, it really won't ruin my day. In the meantime, people are waiting for a lesser buggy release than 7.6.0. Some people would still have problems with RC3, but many more would be perfectly happy with it (I know it may sound crazy but - like others - I only had few glitches with 7.6.0). What's needed now, I guess, is that many brave folks give RC3 a try during the weekend, so that if any show-stopper bug remains that could affect lots of users, 7.6.1 is delayed a bit again.
