Make sure that you have lame.exe in the C:\Program
Files\Squeezebox\server\Bin\MSWin32-x86-multi-thread folder to
transcode FLAC to MP3 if you're running LMS on Win7. Or present in
whichever folder is appropriate for your OS platform. Transcoding was
working for me on LMS 7.7 using Lame version 3.98.4 when I tested it
last week. (Using builds prior to r33406) 

Btw, in regards to FLAC streamed to a Revue... you probably have to
shoot me if you tell me... given that the next Revue platform "appears"
to be based on Honeycomb 3.1 which plays FLAC audio natively... will the
next release of Revue software inherit this capability? I'm assuming
that the Revue has enough horsepower and buffer space to handle this.
