@merger I will try the log files later today.
So far I have tried several things without success. I temporarily disabled UAC in Windows. I also disabled DEP. I ran LMS 7.7 as administrator. Oddly enough the problem doesn't occur on SBS 7.6. In addition I installed 7.7 but once the installation was complete I replaced it's scanner file with a copy of the scanner file from 7.6. Oddly enough, the BEX problem doesn't occur with this arrangement. Any idea why this might be? I will put the 7.7 scanner file back later today and send you the scanner and server logs.
