I was album to reproduce your problem by adding an ALBUMARTISTSORT field
to just one track on a compilation album.

The problem is probably caused by two things:

1. You have ALBUMARTIST=Various Artists tags in your compilation files.
This is always a little sketchy in Squeezebox Server. It creates a new
artist named 'Various Artists' that is different from the 'Various
Artists' for compilations. Since you also have these files tagged
COMPILATION=1, For the most part it doesn't cause problems. But the
behavior in SBS can be unpredictable and sometimes changes.

2. You probably have at least one bad ALBUMARTISTSORT=something field
in your compilations. What happens during SBS scanning is that the
first one will be associated with the artist named 'Various Artists'.
You might have only one of these fields in your library, or you may
have every file tagged with ALBUMARTISTSORT and the behavior would be
the same.

You can fix this in a couple of ways:

1. Remove the ALBUMARTIST=Various Artists field from all compilation
files.

2. Find and remove all of the ALBUMARTISTSORT fields in your
compilation files.

If you do #2 then #1 isn't necessary, but it may still be a good idea
unless you have another application (such as a portable Mp3 player)
where you need the ALBUMARTIST tags.
