As I confessed in #5 it was a problem I had introduced myself in settings -> Advanced -> Security
I think that I had enabled "Block Incoming Connections" but as "Allowed IP Addresses" = 192.168.0.* 192.168.0.* being my internal IP range here at home Then everything appeared to work, until some weeks later when I tried to use the webbrowser on the server itself. As it launced using "local" (127.0.0.1) it was caught by the filter.
