I know nothing about DLNA, video libraries, tagging, etc. Educate me a little. I do have a few hundred movies on my file server and several thousand TV episodes. I watch them through a computer, but who knows, maybe I'll buy a DLNA compatible player some day.
Questions: Is there an equivalent to 'cover.jpg' that would give me some type of cover image for each video? Along with the above question, is there some type of directory organization that is required or that works best? I have the following video file extensions on the server: .avi (mostly DivX, I think) .mkv .wmv .divx .mov .m4v The vast majority are .avi. Will LMS scan and serve all of these file types? How are video files tagged? What software can be used on Windows, what fields can be added? Are all of the above formats equally 'tagable'? -- JJZolx ------------------------------------------------------------------------ JJZolx's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=90618 _______________________________________________ beta mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/beta
