before I left my home this morning, I figurd how to get dlna going this included a reboot and opening of port 9998 etc.
Plugplayer for iPad could see LMS and all my players :) but imideatly crashed when I pressed the browse button:( LMS did not crash, but the plugplayer crash is instant. Further I'm not sure that the server started as it should with dlna service on ? i had to start manualy after server boot ? I'll verify this later this week sunday evening ? i'm not home much this week. In the meantime anyone else with some old redhat, centos server using the RPM build does it start properly at server boot whenyou use the upnp and dlna functions ? i could had one of thoose " things" and it will work fine when I try next time. Also not sure that I saw anything new in extras like a image viewer ? I will see if my reboot bringed it up ? To not scare off presumtive squeezebox users if you for example don't specify any photo or video content untick the dlna plugin and/or possibly use the -- noupnp parameter in your configuration. 7.7 works like 7.6.2 with some bugs fixed, in fact scan is faster than ever. So the " big change" was done 7.5 > 7.6 . 7.7 is not the same horror show as 7.6.0 if you use it as squeezeboxserver ! Consider dlna upnp as experimental can work on some clients or not. But it is a viable squeezeboxserver imo. Anything else than plugplayer for the iPad, my plan was to view my photas that way. i will -- Mnyb -------------------------------------------------------------------- Main hifi: Touch + CIA PS +MeridianG68J MeridianHD621 MeridianG98DH 2 x MeridianDSP5200 MeridianDSP5200HC 2 xMeridianDSP3100 +Rel Stadium 3 sub.
