This thought actually crossed my mind when I saw that you dropped
DBD-mysql, but I'm not sure I want to spend the time since dropping
DBD-mysql means that you definitely won't run any tests within Logitech
with MySQL and due to this the SQL scripts in SQL/mysql is soon also
going to be broken, so it's just a matter of time before MySQL stops
working completely.
Is there any real reason why end users, except for those who have the
knowledge to install it manually, would use MySQL ?
Feels like it's time to realize that we need to stick with the database
backend Logitech have chosen unless there are very good reasons not to
do so. If there are good reasons, which I don't think there are, it
feels like Logitech should consider supporting it officially.
