As someone else asked, what are the hardware specs of your server? Also, what is the size of your library?
Try going to Settings > Advanced > Performance > Database Memory Config and set it to 'High'. You'll need to restart the server afterwards. Many people see a delay the first time they browse into the library, whether it's by New Music, by Artist, by Album, etc. The server appears to load a significant portion (or all?) of the library database into memory.
