If I had to guess... With both Amazon and Google offering cloud storage
AND music purchasing, I wouldn't be surprised to see one or both of
these services coming soon. This would explain the effort in "scaling
up MySB" as mentioned by Andy. There's probably money to be made here,
as Logitech could get a small portion of music purchases made from
Squeezebox players through an affiliate arrangement. They also get top
billing as being the maker of home audio devices that support these
cloud storage and purchasing systems.

I too don't expect LMS to turn into a complete media management system.
LMS is going to remain an "advanced" option for those with large music
libraries, those who want to customize their experience beyond MySB,
and those with lossless music formats. Official development on it will
continue, but probably at a much slower pace.
