Start and stop wears the disc it would last longer spinning, but if op is home only 2 days a week the equation may still be in his favour . So it's energy vs investing in a new drive and actually the energy used to manufacture it ? Wonder if a drive actually ever uses as much energy in it's whole life than it took to build it ? -- Mnyb -------------------------------------------------------------------- Main hifi: Touch + CIA PS +MeridianG68J MeridianHD621 MeridianG98DH 2 x MeridianDSP5200 MeridianDSP5200HC 2 xMeridianDSP3100 +Rel Stadium 3 sub.
