Thanks for the advice.  I did have both and deleted the
/c/squeezecenter directory (and contents).  The problem remained and I
now see that after a reboot the Readynas reinstates the
/c/squeezecenter directory, effectively undoing the delete?

Obviously there's something I'm missing.  Can you advise?  All
assistance to date is hugely appreciated.
