Hi "Michael Herger" <[email protected]>, >> http://bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug.cgi?id=17985 > >Phil - could you please post specific error messages you get to this bug? > First time I ran, it complained that EV and JSON::XS needed upgrading for 5.14.2, which I fetched with ppm install:
The following modules failed to load: EV JSON::XS To run from source on Windows, please install ActivePerl 5.14.1. ActivePerl 5.1 0.0 is no longer supported. http://downloads.activestate.com/ActivePerl/releases/5.14.1.1401/ActivePerl-5.14 .1.1401-MSWin32-x86-294969.msi Exiting.. Now complaining Auido::Scan and Audio::Scale are not compatible. Currently when I run I get: Bareword found in conditional at C:\Squeezebox\LMS\Beta\server\CPAN/AnyEvent/constants.pl line 37. Use of uninitialized value in concatenation (.) or string at C:\Squeezebox\LMS\Beta\server\CPAN/AnyEvent/constants.pl line 11. Use of uninitialized value in concatenation (.) or string at C:\Squeezebox\LMS\Beta\server\CPAN/AnyEvent/constants.pl line 12. Use of uninitialized value in concatenation (.) or string at C:\Squeezebox\LMS\Beta\server\CPAN/AnyEvent/constants.pl line 13. Use of uninitialized value in concatenation (.) or string at C:\Squeezebox\LMS\Beta\server\CPAN/AnyEvent/constants.pl line 14. The following CPAN modules were found but cannot work with Logitech Media Server: Audio::Scan (loaded 0.93 but missing object file, need 0.93) Image::Scale (loaded 0.08 but missing object file, need 0.08) To fix this problem you have several options: 1. Install the latest version of the module(s) using CPAN: sudo cpan Some::Module 2. Update the module's package using apt-get, yum, etc. 3. Run the .tar.gz version of Logitech Media Server which includes all required CPAN modules. >Not a solution to the problem, but probably some help to work around the >issue: > >http://downloads.activestate.com/ActivePerl/releases/ Ah thanks. I had a good look but didn't see an obvious link to previous releases. I've installed 5.14.1 x64 now, and run, but I got the same errors. Perhaps 64 bit Perl is the problem, and I need to switch back to 32 bit binaries.
