7.7 is updated, but 7.8 not.
Thanks for reminding me to merge those changes. The past few weeks have been a bit rough over here...
Is there a need for 7.8 now? is there anything in it that isn't in 7.7?
Yes, eg. if you're on OSX Mountain Lion, you'd need 7.8 to fix the power management.
I'd also worry about downgrading: unless someone has confirmed that it's safe, I would assume that it's unsafe: there could be DB scheme changes etc.
Most changes in 7.7 are due to some optimizations in mysb.com code. This shouldn't have any influence on 7.8. I'll still merge things just to be up to date.
