I find myself unable to play .wav files when using a raspberry pi (with raspbmc) as LMS. It works fine using my Mac Mini (10.8.5). Both use recent 7.8 builds (from the last week or so). Would I need any additional packages for wav?
Can you check whether the transcoding settings are available for your players (in the web UI). Check wav -> flac and wav -> mp3. Enable player.source debugging and provide some log file content.
