Chrome also has this feature. Hover your mouse over the address bar,
right click and select 'Edit search engines...'. Scroll down to the
bottom of the list where there are three empty boxes to enter a new
search engine. Enter a name, a keyword and a URL similar to:

http://192.168.1.4:9000/?search=%s

Using %s as a placeholder for the search string.

There's also a _very_ handy extension for Chrome called 'Context Menu
Search'
(https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/context-menu-search/ocpcmghnefmdhljkoiapafejjohldoga)
that I use for a couple of dozen different things. It allows you to
highlight any text in your browser and then use any site's search
mechanism to search for that string. For instance, I can highlight an
album name and can search Amazon Music or AllMusic.com. Or, I can
highlight a street address and pull it up in a map in Bing Maps.
Highlight an artist or a song name and search YouTube.
