After a successful scan of your library with LMS 7.8, go to the "Tools" section in SSODS and choose "Upgrade SqueezeboxServer". That worked for me as a temporary workaround.
Be sure to put the latest logitechmediaserver-7.9.0.tgz into /opt/ssods4/var/home/tarballs and stop any running LMS before the upgrade.
