I'm not sure what you mean by "can't drill down the list". I thought
that you meant that you can't drill down into an album to see the list
of tracks, but I do seem to be able to do that in the Web UI for "Random
Albums".

That's correct.

He's referring to the pagination.

Hmm... no, rather the lack of crumblist support: if you drill down to the track level, then there's no "Random Album" item in the crumb list. You'll have to navigate "Back". Trying to fix this took about 90% of all the time spent on that feature. With me eventually giving up as this is a feature for album listeners :-P.

thought about it (and it was worth the effort), you could come up with a
way to make it both random and repeatable, such as saving/passing a
randomly generated seed and resetting the seed only when you go back to
page one.

That's correct. But one of the biggest reasons why all these new navigation paths could be implemented relatively easily, is because they are using tons of common, generic code (remember the "onebrowser" effort?). Add what you suggest would have required quite some additional coding - and thus time I don't have right now. I decided the feature was worth the compromise.
