I just ran into the following issue: I run LMS 7.9.0 (Oct 6th) on
Xubuntu 14.04. (32bit) and connect to it with a UPnP device. Whenever I
tried to play a FLAC file, nothing happened. MP3s where fine. So I
updated to 7.9.0 (Oct 7th), same problem. I then downgraded to 7.8.1
(Oct 7th) and it plays FLAC again with no problem (although in Chromium
and Firefox, the web gui is messed up, I can't navigate the settings, in
FF I can't even expand the menu options in order to access my music).
It's a bit annoying, because right now, either way, I have a somewhat
useless setup. Either I can play FLAC but not the web gui or vice
versa.

Playback of FLAC on my Squeezeboxes though worked with every version of
LMS.
