Someone else here willing to have a bash (see what I did there?) if a
simple "how to" could be posted.

Basically the process boils down to this:

- you need ssh access to your device
- you need dev tools installed on that device (make, gcc etc.). The build script will check some of them and bail out if they're missing. In this case you would need to be able to install them from some source. - then grab a copy of our vendor's repository: https://github.com/Logitech/slimserver-vendor/ - if you don't want to install git or subversion to clone the repository, then there's a link on above page to download the latest as a .zip file
- cd to the CPAN folder
- run "buildme.sh Audio::Scan"
- copy the resulting build/arch/.../Scan.so file to the place where the current version is installed

If you only need this module then that should be it. It would only take a few minutes (or even less). Good luck!
