I recall a discussion on whether search should search the current library or
all music.

I can't remember which conclusion that discussion ended with, but it seems to
me that at the moment it is inconsistent. This confused me for a while, until
I realised I had a library view selected.

For example, I just searched for "Conundrum" in the Web UI quick search field.
As I only have one album that exactly matches this text, I expected it to be at
the top of the albums results. But it didn't appear in the list at all. I
pressed return to go to Home > Search, listing matching Artists, Albums and
Songs. It still wasn't listed.

>From quick search, I clicked "Albums ..." to go to the Home > Search > Albums
>(conundrum) page, and it was listed at the top of the results.

It seems that Quick Search and Advanced searches only the current library,
whereas Search > Artist, Albums, Songs or Playlists search the whole library?

I think I would prefer all searches to do the same. It seems important for
Advanced Search to only search current library, such that it can be used create
new library views reliably. So I think it is best for all searchs to only
return results for the current library.
