It's been updated to 0.95 to scan DSF files, but the version Pinkdot packaged for Synology still has 0.93 this doesn't scan DSF files. what component exactly would need to be updated to benefit from the 0.95 scanner?
You'd need to compile Audio::Scan 0.95. What perl version and architecture information do you get in Settings/Information in the LMS web UI?
