It does not have to be in one of the problemtatic files , Is this artist guest artist on something else .
One file in your whole collection have a sort tag . Also check that you for example dont have both vorbis comment and id3v tags in flac files or both id3v1 and id3v2 tags in mp3. They can sometimes have different values for the same tag .
