That is clearly something in the right direction... I didn't have sqlplaylist installed, so a did a installation and replaced the .pm file - and now after updating or closing LMS the menu-items are correctly still in place - 24 Bits and 16 Bits.
After a bit more testing I now see, that my 'Orchestra' menu (from the Custom Browse setup) is empty after an 'update' or a 'Rescan for new and changed' - if I run a new scan in 'Custom scan' my 'Orchestra' listings comes back. So there is definitely something with the plugins, I'm not sure how to disable the fulltext scan, but will look into that. Let's hope Erland reads your post and/or mine :) This little trick didn't help with the missing artwork after a rescan - I still have to update LMS to get the artwork back in 'Conductors'-menu (from the 'additional browse modes').
