Hi, I have been using the DSDPlayer plugin with no problem whatsoever in my ReadyNas Ultra 4 for quite a long time.
Yesterday, I installed the Tidal plugin and, when doing that, I noticed that DSD Player appeared on top of the plugin list, in the area reserved for update warnings. It was disabled. Clicking the tickbox and restarting LMS or even the NAS (multiple times) did not solve it... It kept appearing there, asking for an update that somewhat could not finish. I upgraded immediately to the latest LMS 7.9 snapshot available (completely removing first the current LMS), but to no avail. At first I thought of a recent firmware update of the NAS box as the culprit, but this morning I've set up a fresh LMS environment on a Windows 8 x64 box at work and the behaviour is exactly the same: DSDPlayer keeps asking for an update but can't actually finish it.
